About Anis

I am so glad you’re here. I chose the profession of psychotherapy because of its ability and strength to transform an individual. Through my own life struggles and daily practice, I am always learning to look at my own life and the lives of others through a lens of compassion, without judgement, and kindness.

I utilize a spirituality-based framework where I consider factors such as meaning, values, identity, and purpose. I believe in a holistic approach to sustain health and wellbeing and utilize a number of modalities in my work including trauma informed, grief therapy, psychodynamic, transpersonal, narrative, family systems, internal family systems, and CBT. I work with anxiety, depression, grief, facing a new diagnosis, trauma, and when you experience any new or big change in your life. I believe in working together to develop and grow the best version of you.

I come from a broad cultural context - I am of Indian origin and I have lived in Africa, Europe, and North America. Because of my extensive global context, my practice is informed with cultural curiosity, diversity consciousness, and an ability to problem solve and collaborate in numerous ways.

I believe you are the expert of your life, and just like your fingerprint - you are as unique as any person in our global community. I am here to provide you with a safe space, listen to your stories and ideas, witness your journey, and facilitate a deeper understanding of yourself. I welcome members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I have specialized training to provide therapeutic care for people from all faith traditions.

Our work together is confidential.

I look forward to working with you.
